ModuleQ's Salesforce Connector

If you use Salesforce to manage your customer or prospect engagements, this connector uses that information to enhance ModuleQ's understanding of what is most important to you.

The activity in your inbox is just one indication of what you care about.

Microsoft Outlook activity informs ModuleQ about the recency and frequency of e-mail communication with prospects and customers, but it means information like opportunity count, deal size, renewal date, casual phone calls, account health, and more are not considered.

With the Salesforce Connector, ModuleQ will have even more information to utilize when determining which accounts are the highest priority for you.

How Does ModuleQ’s Salesforce Connector Work?

ModuleQ utilizes your Outlook activity to determine priority based on how frequently you communicate with particular organizations (your customers). With the Salesforce Connector, ModuleQ’s understanding of your priorities is enhanced to include organizations on the Account Team or Opportunity Team in Salesforce.

Note: If you are not on the Salesforce Opportunity Team or Account Team for a given Organization, ModuleQ will not consider that Organization a Salesforce priority for you. In that case, only the Outlook activity you have with that organization will provide a signal to ModuleQ that the organization may be a priority for you.

Although you may not communicate with all contacts on the accounts/opportunities you are associated with in Salesforce, ModuleQ will be able to recognize the Salesforce association and begin to prioritize any news that is published about them.

How Does ModuleQ’s Salesforce Connector Stay Up to Date?

ModuleQ sorts these activities and associations by recency and significance and prioritizes accordingly. For example, if you are part of an opportunity team from six months ago and it has not been updated this month, but you have several other newer opportunities that were updated in the last week, the newer and more active opportunities are seen as a higher priority by ModuleQ.

How Are Organizations Sorted in My ModuleQ Profile?

You will know ModuleQ found an association between you and an organization in Salesforce by looking for the blue CRM icon in your ModuleQ Profile.

After these associations are identified, the blue CRM icon should appear in the bottom right corner of each organization, and you will be able to click on the icon to visit the CRM Account page for that organization.

ModuleQ will also begin prioritizing news about any of the contacts on the Account/Opportunity you are associated to in Salesforce.

What can I expect from ModuleQ now that the Salesforce connector has been activated?

You will see the two new links explained below in your Pre-Meeting Briefings. These will only be included in the organizations ModuleQ identified that you are associated to in Salesforce.

What does the “View in Salesforce” button do?

This link provides quick access to the account page for this organization directly from ModuleQ’s Pre-Meeting Briefing.

This can be used to quickly log events, update records, and more.

What does the “Log a Call” button do?

Because a Pre-Meeting Briefing signals an upcoming customer call, the "Log a Call" button logs the call between you and that account directly in Salesforce.

This logs a blank call between you and the Account. Note that if your team requires you to log Meetings/Events, please use the “View in Salesforce” link to go to the account page for the organization and log the Meetings/Events according to your team's requirements.

How do I connect my Salesforce account?

To connect your Salesforce account to ModuleQ, type /salesforce in your chat with ModuleQ and follow the prompts.
